Since 1999, this branch of the Museum of Kyiv History was known as the “Kyiv Museum of A.S. Pushkin.” On March 1, 2022, an order was signed to shift the museum’s focus toward a theme that better reflects the content of its collection. The aim was to create a museum that presents the history of Kyiv domestic life in the first half of the 19th century, which is also reflected in the name of the branch. After extensive work on the new concept, the Museum’s Academic Council approved the new name — “Estate on Kudriavka.”
Currently, the museum staff is working on developing the structure and content of the new exhibition. At the same time, repair and restoration work is partially underway, which is urgently needed for the museum building, a designated architectural landmark.
The opening of the new exhibition at the estate on 9 Kudriavska St. will be a remarkable event. Currently, the branch of the Museum of Kyiv History has resumed its activities and presents temporary exhibitions.
