Exhibition of the master of Ukrainian political caricature – Oleh Smal.

The Museum of Occupation of Kyiv (a branch of the Museum of Kyiv History) presents an exhibition by the master of Ukrainian political caricature – Oleh Smal.

Description
The well-known Ukrainian caricaturist showcases his works at the museum on the left bank of Kyiv. With sharp humor, the artist highlights Russian imperialism, Ukrainian, and international politics.

The exhibited works reflect events and figures of Ukrainian and international politics from the time of our country’s independence to the present day.

The overall mood of the exhibition is life-affirming. Laughing at oneself opens perspectives for self-improvement, while laughing at the enemy gives strength to continue the daily struggle. According to the artist, caricature is a rather specific and democratic form of art. We will win thanks to humor, because what has already been ridiculed can no longer be frightening.
