Oleksandr Sukholit. Family

The Museum of Kyiv History, together with the Oleksandr Sukholit Foundation, presents the exhibition “Oleksandr Sukholit. Family”. For the first time, a portfolio of lithographs by the outstanding Ukrainian artist will be shown, along with a selection of his iconic sculptures that reveal the development and depth of his creative world.

“Family” is a unique edition of ten original lithographs created by Oleksandr Sukholit and hand-printed in Lviv, at the workshop of the Ukrainian Academy of Printing.

At the center of Oleksandr Sukholit’s artistic vision is the image of woman and mother as a source of love, spiritual strength, and the continuation of life. His sculpture, graphic art, and painting are filled with archetypes of feminine beauty — not external, but inner, the kind that radiates light and harmony.

The exhibition at the Museum of Kyiv History allows visitors to experience the artist’s philosophy — from the intimate image of the mother to generalized plastic forms that unite the memory of ancient cultures with contemporary artistic language. This is an event that brings together the tradition of hand printing, sculpture, and a profound reflection on life, revealing new facets of Sukholit’s art.
