The Kyiv City History Museum is hosting the exhibition “Your Favourite Dish” — a project by the Memorial Memory Platform that tells the stories of fallen Ukrainian defenders through personal family memories.

At the heart of the exhibition are recollections shared by mothers who prepare their children’s favourite dishes and keep their memory alive. The display features photographs, video stories, recipes, and fragments of family memoirs that offer visitors an intimate glimpse into stories of love, loss, and remembrance.

A dedicated interactive space forms a separate part of the project, where anyone can write down the name of a loved one, share their favourite dish, or share a personal memory.

The exhibition is a reminder that memory lives not only in great events and words, but also in simple things — familiar tastes, aromas, and family traditions that preserve the bond between generations.
