Inclusion at the Museum

One of the priorities for the Museum of Kyiv History is ensuring that museum collections are accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities.

Comfort

The Museum of Kyiv History, the Hrushevskyi Museum, the Museum of the Occupation of Kyiv, and the Sixtiers Museum (except for the main entrance) are accessible for visitors with mobility impairments, as they are equipped with ramps, elevators, adapted restrooms, and level flooring.

Accessibility

All mentioned programs in the museums are accessible to visitors with mobility impairments. In other museums located in historic buildings without the necessary adaptations, visits are available by prior arrangement.

Immersiveness

For visitors with visual impairments, the Museum of Kyiv History offers specialized programs, including the activity “Life in Kyivan Rus” and the tour “Kyiv by Touch.” During these sessions, participants can listen, touch historical objects, and even sense their smells.

Online

Several Kyiv museums, including the Museum of Kyiv History and the Hrushevsky Museum, are accessible and comfortable for visitors with mobility impairments. They are equipped with ramps, elevators, adapted restrooms, and flat floors.
