KYIV FOREVER — under this name, a festival dedicated to the birthday of the city with a thousand-year history was held at the Museum and Exhibition Center.
All guests had the opportunity to purchase a “ticket to 1000 years ago” to travel through time and learn more about the history of the capital.
It was two days full of encounters with historical characters, lectures, and workshops. We talked about modern archaeology, trends in medieval fashion, learned to write with a reed pen, explored recipes for medieval inks, created clay items using ancient techniques, made candles from wild bee wax, studied long-forgotten crafts, and had the chance to purchase unique handmade souvenirs as keepsakes from the festival.
This event once again demonstrated the incredible interest of Kyiv residents in learning about the history of their city. The doors of the Museum of Kyiv almost never closed, as there were many eager to join the thematic celebration.
The festival’s promotional video was shown on the largest screen in the country at the Gulliver Shopping Mall!
