Within the space of the exhibition project “Kyiv Talisman,” the exhibition “Signs of Identity” has opened — a unique collection of contemporary stamped towels created by Ukrainians in different parts of the world for Ukraine’s Independence Day in 2025.
This project aims to preserve and revive Ukrainian cultural traditions through decorative and applied arts and collective action. The towel, as one of the oldest symbols of national culture, becomes not just a work of decorative art, but a symbol of belonging, memory, protection, and love for the Motherland.
The initiator of the project is Karina Haieva — an artist of decorative arts, art historian, and fashion designer who revives Vybiika — an ancient Ukrainian technique of fabric decoration using stamp clichés and paint. We invite you tomorrow, February 4 at 16:00, to a curatorial tour of the exhibition.
Exhibition opening hours: Wed–Sun: 12:00–19:00, Mon–Tue: closed
Location: MEC of the Museum of Kyiv History, 7 B. Khmelnytskoho St., 3rd floor
