In 1989, Onishchenko made his choice: a black canvas, a palette knife, expression, and the beauty of a world in which every viewer dreams of staying forever. His vivid, textured, and lively paintings are filled with a love of life, profound drama, irony, and the triumph of solitude as an inseparable part of a true creator.

“THE BEAUTY AND DIGNITY OF INTERSEX PEOPLE”
Intersex people are among the most vulnerable groups in our society. With this exhibition, Egalite Intersex Ukraine takes a significant step towards improving the situation regarding fundamental human rights for intersex people in our country. Being intersex should never be a cause for social or professional discrimination. We must do everything possible to ensure that intersex individuals can live in Ukrainian society without facing oppression or prejudice.
While the issue of obtaining identification documents may seem minor to many, it is critical for an intersex person and can create insurmountable barriers when seeking medical care, employment, or traveling.

“ART IS NOT ETERNAL”
The idea that life is a fleeting moment while art is eternal has long been established in literature, philosophy, and history. But is art truly eternal? Representatives of generations Y and Z perceive the world differently. They do not postpone happiness, value the present day, and live it to the fullest. They understand that art exists only in the moment we experience and enjoy it.

“EDITH LANDAU PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION”
The exhibition features nearly 50 photographs by French artist Edith Landau, tracing a journey from Paris to Kyiv.
Edith Landau was born in a working-class town near Paris, where she witnessed violence and social hardship from an early age. This experience shaped a persistent theme of bodily suffering that permeates all her later works. The core of the photographer’s visual language is the affirmation of human existence within a distorted reality, highlighting fragility and the capacity for mimicry. In Landau’s photographs, the body reveals a visual fragmentation, presented as segmented yet not perceived as a flaw requiring mental completion. Each piece becomes an independent semantic unit of a bodily landscape.

“Kyiv is the heart of Ukraine. Strategic decisions are made here, and the Kyiv City Museum is a space where important social projects and complex topics are realized and brought to light by committed artists. Many residents from southern regions, including Crimeans, have been evacuated to the capital and now contribute to the city’s story. Today, due to Russian aggression, the world has lost an important economic and cultural link, and we dream of the swift return of all our territories and seas,” says Diana Popova, Director of the Kyiv City Museum.
